NATG2017 Day11: First Descend

Long before the faithful meeting between Commander Hurricane, Chancellor Puddinghead, and Princess Platinum; during the time where many pegasus were quite into battling and conquering, it was not uncommon for pegasus to suffer some forms of injuries. Being the proud race they were, the pegasus relied on their own team of doctors and nurses to take care of any injuries or illness that their race suffered. 

One of their doctors was a pegasus by the name of Gale Gentlehoof, and she's one of the best doctors that the pegasus had. Unlike many other pegasus of that time however, Gale was a pacifist, and this often put her at odd with many of the pegasus of her time. Even so, the other pegasus still tolerated Gale because pegasus doctors were strongly encouraged to stay out of combat and away from the world under the cloud. 

Having spent essentially all her life atop the cloud high up in the sky, Gale had little idea what the world below was actually like. However, while performing her duties as a doctor for the pegasus race, Gale overheard numerous stories about the world below from the patients and guests she had. Slowly, but surely, Gale's curiosity about the world below grew.  

One night, Gale found herself sitting above the cloud high up in the sky. 

Staring down at the world below her, Gale pondered to herself,

" Are the stories they told me true? "

" Did those delicious fruits really came from the world below?"

 " Will I get in trouble with the other pegasus if they find out?"

" Are the ponies down there really strange? "

" And most importantly, do I really want to go down there? "

For a while, Gale debated with herself. Eventually, she concluded that the only way she'll know the answers for sure was to experience it for herself. 

And so, she descended.
